My Chapter on Positivity.

I am really excited to announce that my chapter, A Positive Start, in the book Coaching Perspectives X is officially published! I am excited and delighted that positivity, a pathway and proven tool for personal growth, is making its way out into the world in one more way to help others create resourceful habits for joy and success.

Truly, there has never been a better time to enrich our lives with authentic, powerful personal growth. For me, focusing on the principles of positivity this past year has been the absolute foundation for substantial growth for me as a person. It feels like a gift. With so many of our normal coping strategies and sources of joy having been shut down by the pandemic, positivity is a genuine, proven tool that easily guides us towards staying present, envisioning a compelling future, and finding joy. It gives us a place to stay grounded, get stronger and create overall personal wellness.


Positivity, the intentional practice of being positive, optimistic and inspired, has been proven to transform lives for the better. Hundreds of studies have shown that positivity actually precedes happiness, health, and wealth. Authentic positivity incorporates a large range of positive emotions such as courage, inspiration, awe, gratitude, compassion, and balances it with strategies to gracefully handle the inevitable challenges in life. Positivity has a powerful way of producing tangible results which ignite personal internal motivation for a fulfilling life. This creates a powerful spiral upwards for success, joy and overall personal well-being.

A POSITIVE START

 Positivity has been proven to transform lives, relationships, and success for the better. Being positive is having an optimistic mindset along with creating powerful habits and strategies for personal fulfillment and success. Positivity paves the way for experiencing life with a full range of skills, emotions, and a resilient mindset to meet the inevitable challenges. Positivity naturally shifts the trajectory of your life towards authentic happiness and personal well-being. Perhaps you have noticed that successful people often have an optimistic outlook on life? Have you ever found yourself thinking that you would be that positive as well if you were in their position? If so, positive psychology has good news!

Hundreds of well-researched studies show that positivity (and its wide range of emotions such as love, inspiration, hope, expecting good results, and focusing on solutions) precedes happiness, health, and wealth. It has been demonstrated that authentic positivity inspires the intrinsic motivation that easily creates the tangible results that in turn inspire action and energy. Positivity creates the foundation for the powerful upwards spiral of activity that naturally amplifies personal well-being and success. Positivity is a skill set and a state of mind that easily increases and develops like a muscle. Coaching with positivity will help your clients achieve their goals and dreams, or meet challenging times and obstacles with expansive thinking, increased energy, focus, and optimism. Positivity creates authentic resilience. Understanding, embracing, and demonstrating positivity will propel and inspire you, your practice, and your clients to flourish.

This chapter describes the reasons people are more likely to focus on the negative, demonstrate it is easily possible to change, and offers concepts and tools of positivity to help you and your coaching clients create the mindset and strategies for success and happiness.
